Quick question, did you re-adjust your wastage actuators before dropping in the engine? I was able to get 26 psi out of my turbos on a dyno run, but it was not a clean run so I shut it down early, and I don’t run that much boost now. The backpressure in my stock manifolds was most likely extremely high, and I was getting some spark blowout as well. Anyway, I tightened down the pushrods on my wastegates first before putting them in. With the boost controller off the car runs about 14 psi now on the wastegates only. I just used an air line and boost gauge to adjust the opening pressure up by a few psi and make sure that they were balanced. This could be another small reason why my turbos have been spooling slightly better then some of the other 700’s, because the wastegates are holding shut a little better on the low end. Also, I was running more timing which of course helps spoolup as well. Oh, and anybody who says these turbos are too laggy, needs to go for a ride in my car. :) I have been in quite a few big turbo cars, and in my opinion the boost response of these turbos is great for their power capability. I have never had a problem with the lag at all, you just have to have the car in the right rev range, just don’t expect to have usable boost at 2K rpm and you will be fine. In fact, when running a local friend who has the Greddy 16G kit from a 2nd gear roll on, my car was definitely less laggy then his. :) And yes I realize that this is a reply to Zion and not Seb, but for some reason I couldn't reply to Seb's post because it was locked?
